Brad,
It is my understanding that Larry refuses to wear a hard hat while onstte.
This is not acceptable to our insurance company nor is it conducive to OSHA
requirements. Besides being a safety issue,we would be fined 'rf our
insurance company or OSHA showed up and saw someone without a hardhaL Larry
claims that he is exempt from wearing a hardhat... no one is exempt from
this requirement on our jobsites. Dusty has to constantty enforce this rule
with the workers and has sent people home because of this issue. Our
insurance carrier advises us to have frequent hard hat violators permanantly
removed from our jobsites, this is a little difficult when the violator is a
representative of the Owner. Dusty is frustrated with the situation. We
certainly don't want to make anyone mad (especially the guy inspecting our
work), but there are rules that even the highest in the hierachy have to
comply with. Our insurance requires hard hat use until the ceiling file is
dropped. Let me or Dusty know what we need to do.
Mark

Mark,
I received a call from Dusty this morning stating that he and an
inspector for the city, Larry Davis, have had discussions on several
occasions about Larry's not wearing a hard hat while on the site. Do you
know anything about this? Can you e-mail me back and let me know what
is going on here?
Thanks,
Brad Reid
