Suzan,
I don't think we need to replace Item 124 with double 4 inch reflective
white buttons. If we don't have a need for the reflective jiggle bars then
we won't use them, but I think we had planned on putting the jiggle bars
into the gore area within the HMAC transition on State Road. There is
already a bid item ( #122) for 4 inch reflective buttons so if need more we
already have a bid item and I'm pretty sure we put a few extra buttons in
the bid quantity.
The centerline pattern that you describe varies a little from the detail
that you have in your standard details (SD -2). We based all of our counts
off of the Standard Construction Details which should give us more than
enough buttons for the revised spacing. There aren't any stop bars included
in the contract.
My plan is to sit down on Friday and sketch up the pavement markings.
Should be quiet around here! O
Chris

Chris:
Could we get a sketch showing the type and the location of all pavement
markings. Item 124 will need to be replaced with double 4 -inch
reflective white buttons. The pattern we are going to use for the
centerline of Creekview Drive will be a 4 -inch yellow reflective in a
10 -foot span with a 30 -foot skip. Are stop bars included in the
quantities.
Thanks
