Dear Ms. Turner:
Please accept this letter as our formal request for a variance to the requirement for the use
of alime-stabilized subgrade under the on-site paving at the above referenced project.
We propose to use 6-inch - 4000 psi concrete for the fire lanes and 5-inch - 4000 psi
concrete for all other vehicular paving. All paving would be placed on a 6-inch subgrade,
compacted as specified by the soils engineer.
