Dear Ms. Granite:
On May 17 and June ] 1, 2002, the City of Coppell sent letters to Triple W Partnership concerning the
water connection at the above referenced Burger King. Our tax records show that Triple W Partnership is
still the owner of Burger King Store #12458 in the City of Coppell, Texas. On July 16, 2002, Trisha with
Triple W' Partnership called my office in response to the latest letter and informed me that the store in
question had been sold back to Burger King on May 29, 2000. She then provided me your name as a
contact with the Burger King Corporation. With this letter I am attaching the two previous letters sent to
Triple W Partnership.
[n essence, during the construction of the Burger King, the domestic waterline for Burger King was tied
into a private fireline loop for the adjacent shopping center to the south. Water in a fireline generally sets
for long periods of time; therefore, it is not safe to have a domestic waterline tapped off a fireline. The
longer water remains in the waterline the greater the possibility of the growth of bacteria in the water. As
[have stated in my previous letters to Triple W Partnership, it is imperative that this waterline be
removed from the private fireline and tapped to a public waterline in the general vicinity.
The City of Coppell is requesting an appropriate timeline for the work to take place to remove the
domestic line from the private fireline and connect it to a public waterline. If this work is not performed
in a timely manner, then the City of Coppell will have no option other than to disconnect The service
ourselves.
When 1 called your office your voice mail indicated that you would be out of your office until the week of
July 22"`r; however, 1 am on vacation the entire week of July 22"`r. Once this letter is received, you can
contact my Assistant Director of Public Works, Glenn Hollowell at 9721304-3545 to provide him the
details of the timeline.
