Dear Old Town Neighbor:
Do you share visions of Old Town Coppell being a well-known and sought-after
place to live, work and play? Those visions are probably closer than you realize.
The Old Town Coppell Association (OTCA) is now working closely with the
City to make the "Master Plan" for Old Town a reality. The City is being very open-
minded to all ideas and suggestions brought forth and seems very enthusiastic about
them and working with us.
Now is your chance to be a part of the grass rooots effort to make a difference
in your town. Everyone's input is important, and it is imperative that we work to-
gether over the next year as all the groundwork is being laid for future improvements
and projects. The decisions being made will impact future growth and development
over the next several years and will only help businesses and property values grow.
Attendance at meetings is crucial at this point so that items being discussed may
be voted on properly. Some hot topics right now are temporary repair of roads, per-
manent road design and repair, truck ordinance enforcement, parking, beautification,
new signage, a Farmers Market (coming to Old Town next Spring), and a temporary
snow cone stand. These issues affect everyone living in, working in, and patronizing
this area.
We hope you will consider joining our association if you have not, or devote
more time if you are an existing member. Our camaraderie is sincere and beneficial,
dues are quite reasonable, fimdraisers are fun, meetings are enlightening, and the
cause is priceless.
We have two levels of membership and dues: Voting Member, for Old Town
businesses, residents and landowners; and Associate Member, for those who support
the mission of OTCA and the vision of Old Town Coppell.
If you arc passionate ahouI thc future dcvelopment of Old Town Coppell, please
join us and make a stand for something you care about. We need you. Please fill out
the form on the next page and return it to us at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Kim Dobecka and Jean Murph
