Martin Ledford verified the maximum span between the beams for the connected bddge
change proposed. The maximum span is ten feet. This agrees with the sketch provided
in the memo we provided yesterday. Martin is detailing a design at this time for the
changes to the east edge of the west bddge slab. He will be adding #5 bar dowels at 5"
centers in the top and bottom steel mat at the future slab construction joint, He is
preparing a detail at this time for the revisions to the west bridge slab.
The only information needed to finish the detail is the width of the concrete edge
from back of curb to beginning of paVestone. Please confirm one foot is
acceptable or provide another dimension.
We are holding the shop drawings for the slab details until Martin completes the revised
design. We will forward the revised slab design along with the shop drawings to you
hopefully tomorrow.
