Utility Locations
Dear Mr. Russell:
Dallas County Public Works is designing construction plans for Sandy Lake Road, from
east of Kimbel Kourt to immediately west of the Coppell city limits. The project will
consist of the reconstruction of the existing two-lane asphalt road to a four-lane divided
boulevard with improved drainage. Dallas County has provided plans adequate for utility
relocations to all of the potentially impacted utilities throughout the design process and
will distribute the most recent set of plans to anyone who needs them at their next Utility
Meeting on September 18, at 8:30 a.m. Plans are also available from the City.
Coppell is currently acquiring the necessary right-of-way and will manage the
construction of the project. The project will bid in October 2002 and construction of
the improvements is anticipated to start in early 2003. Please provide the City with a
marked-up set of plans showing any necessary relocations and a time schedule for the
relocations. If you do not have any utilities within the project limits, please indicate in
writing to the City.
