Dear Mr. Ginn:
Our Transmission department has ¢omplef~:l its prelimina'y estimate ¢onceminl; the relocation
of a portion of TU Electdc's 138 kv transmission lines near North Lake Plant in Copp¢ll. The
proposed relocation estimate was derived from site maps showint; existing facilities and the
proposed location for relocated facilities. These site maps were provided by Tom Parsons,
acting on behalf of Henr7 BillingsIcy.
The estimated cost to relocate the transmission lines is $~)00,000. This estimate is preliminaO,
in nature and has been prepared without benefit of a formal field survey and detailed engineerinl;
design. The property owner, or its desilmee, will be responsible for reimbursinF TU Electric
for the actual costs associated with relocatin? the transmission lines and for providing
rexluired for this project.
A formal al;reement between TU F. lectric and the parties involved in this proposed relocation
will be required. This proposed relocation is subject to current rules of the Public Utility
Commission of Texas. These rules rexluire a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN)
for some transmission relocations. If a CCN is not rex]uired for this project and there are no
objections from "affected landowners", the project could be completed within nine (~) months
following the execution of our formal al;reement and receipt of appropriate security. If there
are landowner objections or the current PUC rules change, a CCN would be required and would
add 12 to 18 months to the start of the project. TU Electric would not be able to begin
construction until the CCN was

This estimate does not include the cost to relocate existing electric distribution facilities or the
existing TU Electric 42" water line which may be affected by this project.
