NO SPILLS an NO SPURTS and SH RTER I ..SEWAGE Alit & V ACUUM VALVE a e a e e SERIES Ali SAW a" "6 401 and larger Model APCO Sewage Air & Vacuum Valves are specifically designed for operation on Sewage and Waste Media. Air and Vacuum Valves are needed to vent large volumes of air when the sewage line la filled and allow air to re -enter when draining, to prevent vacuum or column separation occurring. Sewage Air and Vacuum Valves utilize two floats, each connected to a common stem which Is guided thru a bushing, The upper float shuts off instantaneously against the seat, due to the impact zone and lifting force of the much larger CONCAVE BOTTOM FLOAT *, as sewage media enters the valve body. Once closed, and pressurized, the Air & Vacuum will not open to release air. It will open under negative pressure allowing air to re -enter and prevent vacuum to form In the line. SERIES 400 SAW SPECIFY APCO WITH CONFIDENCE - SEWAGE AIR & VACUUM VALVE SERIES 400 SAVV Sewage Air and Vacuum Valves shall allow unrestricted venting or rs -entry of air thru it, during filling or draining of the force main, to prevent vacuum. The Sewage Air,& Vacuum Valve shall Incorporate (2) stainless steel floats directly connected by a stainless steel float guide, to maintain an air gap between the bottom CONCAVE FLOAT and lop shut -off float, The air gap shall retard waste sonde from the fouling or clogging the top shut -otf flost. The internal baffle shell befitted with a quids bushing and act to protect the shutoff float from direct airflow. The beffie shall retain the 45 Durometar Buns -N seat in place, without distortion, for tight shut-off- All intemala shall be easily removed th ru the top cover without removing the mein valve from the lines, The complex valve shell withstand SM pal test. OVTIONAL • inlet and blow off valves, quick disconnect couplings and minimum S' nose for flushing, (Enginew to specify). The valve inlet shall be ( angineer to specify) and the outlet (engineer to specify). The valve manufacturer shall furnish professionally printed installation and maintenance instruction manuals with each valve.
