Mary Beth -David Dean from Oncor was standing in front of me when I was talking to
you about this call from Ms. Schumann. He said he told her in August (and she
mentioned that they had talked) that the HOA would need to hire an electrician to pull the
wires and reset a meter in order to restore power to their entry feature. The electrician
would need a permit from your department of course, and then Lee would need to inspect
the connection and call Oncor to turn the power back on once it passed inspection. As far
as I know, they have not had an electrician do this work yet. You will need to ask her this
when you call her.
It may be that she didn't understand getting the power restored relied upon the HOA
hiring an electrician to perform the work first, or she forgot that step in the process after
they talked, but at any rate she expressed a large amount of frustration over not having
power when they need to do their Christmas decorating for the subdivision. Perhaps you
can help expedite the fix without pointing out that an important step was missed on the
HOA's part. I told her we would follow up today with the proper steps to get this
accomplished, so do let her know that Engineering has passed it on to your department.
Thanks!
