ST9905-CS021204qe05 VIA E-MAIL T H g · C I T Y · 0 F C-OPPEL£ MEMORANDUM Date: To: From: Subject: December 4, 2002 Mayor and City Council Clay Phillips, Deputy City Manager Tidbits We received a phone call today from Crescent Real Estate. They emphasized they are still interested, but are having difficulty rounding up the necessary people for approval. Seems everyone is traveling. They promised to get back in touch with us no later than next Monday with approval or changes to the letter of intent. The city will begin maintenance of the Web page on Tuesday, December 10. Clear Technologies has trained staff responsible for updating the individual pages. Sharon Logan will retain responsibility for the Home Page. Ground breaking for the Deliman Grille will take place at 10 a.m. next Tuesday, December 10 on Denton Tap. Jay has extended an invitation to city staff and Council to attend that event. On your agenda next Tuesday night is a bid for construction of a bridge related to the trail system at Wagon Wheel Park. Funding is from CRDC. A copy of the map of the Wagon Wheel Master Plan with trails will be in your FYI this Friday. We have placed an item on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting that seeks a variance to the Subdivision Ordinance. The variance is related to the improvements associated with Bethel Road and the drainage included in that project. The variance is necessary due to the fact that DFW Airport has not been willing to commit to retention/detention on their property, as they have no immediate plans to develop. The system design under consideration does meet the 100-Year Flood requirements until the airport develops their property. When they choose to do so, the City will look to them to include the necessary retention/detention on their site to maintain the adequacy of the downstream improvements. If you have any questions before you review your packet, please feel free to call. A follow-up note regarding the parade: The Council float will be fully stocked with candy for your distribution during the parade. We are again asking that this be accomplished by walking and handing it out rather than throwing the candy from the carriage. CP:kb
