(b~v 7o-v~s~ The City of Coppell Engineering Department 255 Parkway Blvd Coppell, Texas 75019 Dear Sirs: Following is a description of the necessary work to repair the retaining wall located at 829 Fallkirk Court, Coppell, Texas. The work will be sectioned off by feet. We do not want to leave any part undone for the next day. Each day we will start a new section and plan to finish that section by the end of the day. This includes digging, installing french drain and rebuilding the wall. 1) Dig a trench around the inside of the wall. The trench will be as deep as the wall is tall. In other words, where the wall is 1 foot tall the trench will be 1 foot deep and where the wall is 3 `/~ feet tall the trench will be 3 '/z feet deep. 2) The dirt will need to be wheel barreled around the wall to the dumpster. 3) Wood planks will be laid to protect the yard as much as possible. 4) A french drain with pea gravel will be installed to drain the water away. 5) The trench will be re-filled with dirt and any disturbed sod will be replaced. 6) Approximately 15% of the wall will be taken down and rebuilt. We will use a 20 yard dumpster to haul excess dirt. It will be on site from 8:OOam to 4:OOpm -Monday thru Friday beginning December 30, 2002. The location of the dumpster needs to be negotiated. We feel the best location is in front of the house by the stop sign. The dumpster cannot be put in the driveway because the driveway is not strong enough to support it.
