RE: Riverchase Sidewalk Proiect
Dear Ms. Barber:
Sw0001
We have finally reached a point in our negotiations with TXU where it appears that they have approved the
Riverchase sidewalk connecting Riverchase Elementary School with the subdivision for which it was named.
I am enclosing a copy of a map prepared by our Engineering Department in response to TXU's concerns. As
you will note, the project will not be a straight -line shot as originally proposed, but will include a number of
turns which will increase the distance of the project 92 feet.
Unfortunately, due to the redesign that has to occur it now appears unlikely that the project will be completed
by the beginning of next school year. We will do our best to expedite the redesign of the project by keeping
you informed of any other snags we hit along the way.
I would like to apologize for our "bad news bears" assumptions that our two initial meetings with TXU were
tantamount to approval of the project. We learned a hard lesson in today's era of deregulation of the
electrical industry, that nothing is ever final.
If you need further information regarding this project, please do not hesitate to contact me.
ReAhectfully,
/ity age r
