RE: Riverchase Sidewalk Project
Dear Ms. Barber:
Last year we were very hopeful that by the beginning of this school year the Riverchase students
who live in Riverchase Subdivision would have a new walkway across the TXU easement.
Unfortunately, a variety of things have delayed the completion of this project.
As you know, we had to go back and redesign the project after TXU's right -of -way division
reviewed its impact on their facility. We accomplished this redesign and thought we were home
free, until we needed three final signoffs from TXU in June of this year. Unfortunately those
signoffs did not occur, and we were left one signature short.
After contacting some TXU officials in downtown Dallas, we are happy to report that it looks like
the project is back on track. Unfortunately as you know, it will not be open for the beginning of the
school year. I would be more than happy to meet with relevant parties on this to discuss what has
gone wrong.
