RE: Bethel Road
Suzan,
Yes, he needs to mark their location, determine if any conflict exists and
get the information back to us. If their cable was not marked, or was
possibly included in someone eises duct bank, it would not have been picked
up during the survey and included in the plans. I also sent the plans to TC
Keith, a contract inspector for Touch America, who was going to indicate any
conflicts and get the information back to me. To date we have not recieved
anything from TC Keith. I believe I gave TC Keith's phone number to Don
Jackson so they could coordinate their effort. Don Jackson is a local
maintenance person and TC Keith apparently works for their engineering group
(Powers Engineers) out of Denver.

Craig:
Don Jackson with Touch America contacted the City to let us know that the
plans that were sent on 03/11 did not show their fiber location. Did the
utility plans necessarily show the location of all the known utilities in
the vicinity of the project? Since the fiber optic location is not shown,
doesn't he need to show the location of the fiber optic on the plans,
provide your firm with any as-built records of the fiber optic, and make a
determination as to whether the fiber optic will need to be relocated.
Thanks
