RE: Sidewalks
Suzan,
I just spoke to Philip at ISI regarding the sidewalk and TXU. We don't have
the revised sidewalk plans prepared yet. I told Philip that we are planning
on getting them some plans before they begin paving Creekview. At this
point it is not critical that they have the entire sidewalk realignment for
TXU to locate their pullbox. I am going to send Philip a fax indicating the
areas where TXU can place their pullbox. We can relocate the sidewalk to
avoid the pullbox if necessary. We have room at the intersection to be
creative with the sidewalk. Basically the ramp needs to remain where it is.
TXU is free to put the pullbox on either side of the ramp inside the
right-of-way.
ISl is also concerned about the median island for the right turn lane. They
are planning on paving that area within the next few days. It sounds like
the City is asking us to provide a new design for that median to lower it to
3". This is going to require some time and I'm sure ISI is going to ask for
more money. If the City is dead set against the 6" raised median then the
City needs to instruct ISI to pave around that median and place a leave out
so that we can properly design and alternate. Philip plans on having ALL
the paving in by the end of March.

Chris:
Larry visited the job site yesterday and noticed that TXU is in the process
of relocating the existing underground conduit at Creekview Drive and
Freeport Parkway. The pull box that TXU is going to install is fairly
large and must be accessed from the surface. The location that has been
marked for the installation is either in or very near the proposed
conjuction of the 5-foot sidewalk along Freeport and the 6-foot sidewalk
along Creekview. Larry had some concerns that the elevation and location of
the pull box would interfere and encroach on the proposed sidewalk and ADA
ramp. He and Billy made every effort to verify the posssible conflict.
In the Feb. 14th site meeting, there was a discussion about plans for the
proposed sidewalk. The existing plans do not show the the correct ADA ramp
and elevation. We need the plans for the proposed sidewalk as quickly as
possible. TXU wants to start the relocation tomorrow, however due to
%-[ co-o(
electrical outages to the park, that may not be possible.

I just talked with Larry and ISI has already poured the 6-inch curb island.
Larry had concerns about cars hitting the island and incurring damage to
their cars, but since the island meets TXDOT standards - no problem.
