Initially ISI had requested another 30 days but I think part of that was
related to the street lights. I just spoke to Philip and he said that he
would like to have an additional 10 days for the fence.

Ken is quite strict about allowing for additional time on projects. He was
the one who asked about the additional time. If isi requires additional
days to complete the fence, they need to ask for it now. They will not get
it at the end of the project.

They didn't submit a formal request for any additional days. I'm not sure
that it is all that important right now. During or meeting prior to
Christmas we discussed with I$1 that we will give them extra time at the end
if they need it. We just stressed that they need to have Freeport Parkway
finished before the park opens again.

Here is an updated copy of Change Order No. 1. I deleted the light poles
out of the contract and I added in the pipe/cable fence. Philip submitted a
revised breakdown and the total cost including painting was $12,720. I
added ISl's 15% OH&P and came up with a price of $18.25/LF. This adds up
to a total cost of $14,600. We will address the dirt issues in another
change order. I think it is imperative that we get this one out so that the
City has the money to pay TXU and ISI can get started on the fence and start
working on Freeport Parkway. I will put together a letter to ISI addressing
the street lights and the fence.

I agree with the revisions you made to the change order. The linear foot
cost should be $18.25 not $28.25. Sorry.
We could slide the hydrant at Sta. 6+00 to the South if we wanted. I know
that we discussed the hydrant locations with Ken at one point. We can add a
hydrant at Sta. 3+00. I

There is approximately 600 feet between the existing fire hydrant and the
first proposed fire hydrant at Sta. 6+00 along Creekview. The remaining
proposed fire hydrants are spaced at 300 feet, which is a city standard.
Was there a reason to have that 600-foot spacing or do we need to add
another fire hydrant around Sta. 3+00.
On the change order:
The unit price for the fence is shown as $28.25. Should this be revised to
$18.257
The revised contract amount is shown as $1,026,211.40. Should this be
revised to $1,022,761.40?
