Other than the weather I'm not sure what we have done to slow them down.
They may be trying to adjust for the street lights. My approach would be to
try and steer away from providing them any additional time at this point
with the understanding that if they are running a little late at the end we
will give them some additional time. The important thing is that the
roadways are complete before the park opens. Landscaping and sidewalks
aren't as critical. I can call Philip and let him know that I need to
discuss the time extension with the City and try to buy a little time until
we get the TXU issue resolved. The time extension may not be necessary if
we remove the light installation from their contract.

I received it - it does not say why they want the extension. I finally got
a cost from TXU on the cost of the street lights. I will give to Larry and
let him make the decsion on how he wants to proceed.

I was questioning if the 3000 CY in the bid quantity included the amount
necessary to fill the stockpond for the construction of the read. If it
does, that is all I am concerned about. The filling of the remainder of the
stockpond is an issue with Leisure Services.
There is no meeting tomorrow - it was last week and it was cancelled.

I was going to wait until I got the cut sheets from I$1 but I will try and
look at the earthwork quantities before the end of the week. We calculated
the fill necessary to fill in the stock pond for the construction of the
roadway, but we didn't include an quantities to regarded the remainder of
the stock pond.

I just received a letter from ISI with a change order estimate for the
additional cut and the relocation of the fence. The total right now is a
little over $26,000. I'll need to verify the dirt numbers once I receive
the cut sheets from ISl. I'll take a look at the fence costs.
Do you know if our Thursday meetings are going to be every Thursday or every
other Thursday? Looks like it might be a little wet tomorrow.

Larry met with the contractor today. The contractor says their cut sheets
indicate approximately 11,000 CY of excavation on the project as opposed to
the 6500 CY as shown on the bid sheet. The contractor will send a copy of
their cut sheets to you and let you determine whether they have a bust in
their grades or there is a mistake in the bid quantity.
Does the 3000 CY of roadway fill shown in the bid quantities include the
fill on the east side of Freeport Parkway. It is not indicated as
compacted fill on Sheet 8 of the plans. The contractor thinks that it is
not included.
