Construction Plan Review Comments

The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1. An approved contractor must do the installation. Because this is an extension of a public drainage
system, engineering inspection fees and maintenance bonds will apply.
2. The outfall of the pipe must be constructed on piers since these have a tendency to erode and fail.
3. Rip rap may be necessary at the outfall of the pipe to prevent erosion.
4. Show the existing 20' sanitary sewer easement.
5. It appears that the 30" RCP extends beyond the limits of the existing 15' drainage easement. The
entire system must be within an easement. It may be necessary to provide an additional easement by
metes and bounds and with a legal description and exhibit.
6. Show the limits of the floodplain/floodway. An approved Floodplain Development Permit will be
required.
7. Fences and other structures will not be permitted in the floodplain.
8. Show the limits of the proposed fill.
9. The pipe must be constructed with the correct embedment as described in the City of Coppell's
Subdivision Ordinance.
10. Show the crossing of the 30" sanitary sewer in the profile.
1 l . The pipe elevations need to be based on the correct datum instead of an assumed elevation.
12. Revise General Note #7 to read `6 to 8 inch lifts'.
13. Remove General Note #8. Follow the requirements of the NCTCOG.
