RE: Professional Engineering Services for Street1Dr1in1ge Projects,

Dear Ms. Olson:
This letter serves to qualify the City of Coppell's association with O'Brien Engineering, Inc.
(OEI) for your purposes.
OEI has performed several contracts for the City under my supervision as Director of
Engineering and Public Works for the City of Coppell. The most recent project that OEI has
performed for the City is the Meadowcreek Drainage Improvement Project, completed in August
2001. OEI's charge as the project civil engineer was to prepare construction drawings to extend
a box culvert in an existing residential neighborhood to address an erosion and bank stability
problem. The project included negotiating an aerial sanitary sewer crossing, grading, protection
of existing trees and the preparation of easement documents.
The total budget (including contracted Additional Services) was $13,793. The actual cost was
$13,768.08. The stated timeframe for completion of OEI's services was three weeks. OEI
substantially completed the work in that timeframe.
The City's opinion of OEI's overall performance and work product was that the project was
completed on time within budget and addressed the problem with an acceptable solution.
