RE: Sandy Lake Road, MacArthur to Denton Tap
Date: December 23, 1992
On December 23, 1992, I spoke with Mr. Ken Polk concerning the Sandy Lake Road
improvements. Mr. Polk lives on Sugarberry which backs up to Sandy Lake on the south side
of the road. Mr. Polk asked whether or not the City would be constructing a brick screening
wall with the construction of Sandy Lake Road. I informed Mr. Polk typically that was not an
item tLat the City would construct with road construction. Brick walls were typically
constructed by the developer when the subdivision is constructed. Mr. Polk then inquired as to
what would be the process to request a brick wall be built. I informed Mr. Polk that if he chose
to pursue that avenue, Council would have to make the decision to fund the improvement. I did
instruct Mr. Polk to correspond with yourself prior to contacting the Council so you would at
least be aware of the request if you were asked by Council. This is written as informational
only to keep you aware of a potential citizen request.
