Ted asked me to fax you the attached construction cost estimates for Force Main Line
D for your review. We included five options.
1 Ductile iron force main installed by open cut with vertical pipe loop at Sandy Lake
Lift Station and boring under trees
2. Ductile iron force main installed by open cut with vertical pipe loop at Sandy Lake
Lift Station and replacement of trees
3. HDPE force main installed by open cut with vertical pipe loop at Sandy Lake Lift
Station and boring under trees
4. HDPE force main installed by open cut with vertical pipe loop at Sandy Lake Lift
Station and replacement of trees
5. HDPE force main installed by direction drilling
The estimates are preliminary and were obtained primarily from local contractors.
Although we cannot guarantee actual construction costs will exactly match these
estimates, the estimates should provide sufficient accuracy to compare the five options
