Thank you for your reply. I assume this will take the 4-lane right up
to the Trinity River? Do you know if Carrolton has any plans to widen
the rest of the road? I travel Sandy Lake daily, and it will be very

The anticipated start date for construction is late 2003 (October or
so). Dallas County (Sverdrup Civil, Inc.) prepared the design plans
that were completed earlier this year. The City is entering into a
supplemental design agreement with Sverdrup for additional improvements
that were not included in the original design. The majority of the
right-of-way has been acquired.
We anticipate the construction taking 18 months to 2 years. The
contractor for the project will specify the number of construction days.

ST 93-01 SANDY LAKE ROAD(Kimbel Court to East City Limits)
The project consists of the reconstruction of the existing 2-lane
asphalt road to a 4-lane divided roadway with improved drainage.
Dallas
County Public Works completed the construction plans in January 2003.
The City will make several design changes to the plans that were not
included in the Dallas County scope of work. Coppell is currently
acquiring the necessary right-of-way and will manage construction of the
project. Construction of the improvements is anticipated to start in
early 2003.
