The City intends to construct a gabion retaining wall to replace an existing landscape timber
retaining wall in the Shadow Ridge Estates Subdivision. The existing wall is 200 feet long and
four feet high. The existing retaining wall will remain in -place and the proposed gabion wall will
be constructed in front of the existing wall. The proposed wall will be approximately the same
length as the existing wall with the horizontal and vertical location to be determined by existing
conditions and design criteria. The area between the two walls will be back - filled with soil.
Enclosed are as -built plans for the existing retaining wall and plans from the Wynnpage Addition.
Once you have had a chance to review the enclosed plans, please submit a proposal for the
following:
1. design of the construction plans for the project;
2. preparation of pay item quantities for the project;
3. preparation of pay item descriptions for the project; and
4. preparation of technical specifications for the project.
We will incorporate the pay item quantities, pay item descriptions, and technical specifications
into the City's boilerplate specifications.
