Dear Mr. Moon,
APR - 2, 2003
I
Due to a complaint, an inspection was conducted at the property known as 517 Sandy
Lake Road, Coppell, Texas on March 31,2003.
The complaint concerned the parking of vehicles on the city sidewalk during Sunday
Church Services. This is a violation of Ordinance No. 91500 -A -105; Section 12 -31 -5,
which states that parking on private property, shall not extend into or overhang public
right -of -way or adjoining property. Where on -site parking is adjacent to sidewalks, right -
of-way, and/or required landscape areas, all parking, loading spaces, and vehicle sales
areas on private property shall have a vehicle stopping device installed so as to prevent
the wheels of motor vehicle from entering any required landscape areas and to prevent
any parked vehicle from entering or overhanging a public right -of -way, public sidewalk,
or landscaping over eight inches in height above the parking pavement.
In addition, Ordinance 94655 states that the owner and tenant of private property adjacent
to all sidewalks, walkways, steps, and public areas located on public property shall keep
such sidewalks, walkways, steps and public areas free of mud, debris, frozen precipitation
or other obstruction that would impair or prevent their use.
A re- inspection of the property will be conducted in 10 days from the receipt of this
notice. Failure to comply can result in the issuance of citations. Texas Law currently
provides for fines of up to $2,000.00 per violation per day. If I can assist you in this
matter, please call me at 972 -304 -3500.
