Regarding the landscape improvements for the above referenced project, Newman Jackson
Bieberstein, has advised us that due to the change in the design concept that was recently
discussed, there will be an increase in effort on their part to prepare final landscape plans.
The new concept essentially constitutes a change in scope for them because much of what
they developed at the schematic level cannot be used for the final design. They have also
indicated that the new landscape concept will require the preparation of more detailed
planting plans to address the use of a larger variety of plant, groundcover and mulch
materials.
NJB has estimated that the increase in effort will be approximately 170 man-hours, resulting
in a fee increase of $14,080. We understand that a formal contract amendment will be
needed to adjust the fee. However, we wanted to present you with this information now to
get your concurrence before we proceed with preparing the appropriate documents. Please
