RE: Notification of Repairs Maintenance Bond
Deforest Road Deforest Court
Dear Kelly:
I met with Mike Williams of Driveway Maintenance, Inc. on May 27, 2003 concerning failures that
have occurred on the newly reconstructed portion of Deforest Road in the vicinity of Deforest Court.
The City of Coppell made a request for these areas to be repaired under the maintenance bond supplied
by Driveway Maintenance on January 18, 2002.
After meeting with Mr. Williams, it was determined that the cause of the asphalt failure is due to the
failure of the supporting sub grade. Mr. Williams indicated that item was not included in the bond his
company provided to the City.
It is the City of Coppell's position that the sub grade, base material and paving would be and should
be held under maintenance bond. Please notify this office when corrections are being made.
