Dear Mr. Skipwith:
This responds to your letter, dated February 11, 2003, concerning a March 1, 2002, request that
the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issue a revision to the Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) for the above - referenced communities. Pertinent information about the
request is listed below.

We have completed an inventory of the items that you submitted. The items identified below are
required before we can begin a detailed review of your request.
1. A review of the submitted information reveals that the City of Carrollton, Dallas County,
Texas; City of Lewisville, Denton County, Texas; and Denton County, Texas
(Unincorporated Areas) are affected by the floodway revision. Please submit a copy of
the public notice distributed by your community stating its intent to revise the floodway,
or provide a statement by your community that it has notified all affected property
owners, in compliance with National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations
Subparagraph 65.7(b)(1). These notices must include the extent of the revision, the
changes to the floodway and contact information for any interested parties. An example
of a public notice can be found on Page 12 of the MT -2 instructions, which can be
accessed at http:// www .fema.gov /mit/tsd/mt2_inst.pdf.

is a Map Coordination Contractor for the National Flood Insurance Program
2. Please submit a letter stating that all communities will adopt and enforce the modified
floodway, in compliance with NFIP regulation Subparagraph 65.7(b)(3).
Please send the required data to us at the address shown at the bottom of the first page. If all
required items are not submitted within 90 days of the date of this letter, FEMA will treat any
subsequent request as an original submittal, and it will be subject to all submittal/payment
procedures as outlined in Paragraph 72.7(a) of the NFIP regulations (44 CFR Parts 59 -78).
If you are unable to meet the 90 -day deadline for submittal of required items and would like
FEMA to continue processing your request, you must request an extension of the deadline. This
request must be submitted to us in writing and must provide (1) the reason why the data cannot
be submitted within the requested timeframe and (2) a new date for the submittal of the data.
FEMA receives a very large volume of requests and cannot maintain inactive requests for an
indefinite period of time. Therefore, the fees will be forfeited for any request for which neither
the requested data nor a written extension request is received within 90 days.
