Dear Mr. Roberts:
Following a review of the Fee Proposal and Contract Exhibits for the reconstruction of Coppell
Road, the following comments are offered for your consideration:
1. Page 3, C. Final Design, Item 2.
We will need a right-of-way strip map included in the final construction plans.
2. Page 6, A. Right-of-Wav Surveving, Item 1.
The Engineer or Surveyor needs to provide three permanent (i.e. chiseled spot in concrete,
iron pin in concrete) horizontal and vertical control points outside of the construction limits.
The Engineer or Surveyor will provide coordinates for the three control points.
3. Page 7, C. Pre-Construction Surveying, Item 2.
It is not necessary for the Engineer to stake the centerline of the proposed roadway. The
contractor will be required to stake the roadway using the three permanent control points.
4. Page 8, E. Environmental Investigation.
Can the scope of the environmental assessment be reduced? The only jurisdictional stream to
cross Coppell Road crosses south of this project. Improvements to this stream will be
included in the Bethel Road projects. There are no affected structures within the project
limits. I will send the plans to the Texas Historical Commission, if necessary, for the
archeological review and permit.
