RE: 101 Cottonwood Dr. /Lot 1, Block A Cottonwood Estates
Deaz Mr. Pier:
This letter is written as afollow-up to our meeting on June 16, 2003 in which we discussed the pipe fence
currently being installed on the southern property line at 101 Cottonwood Dr. During our meeting, we
discussed the fence location in relationship to the floodplain at the rear of the lot. My understanding is:
there will be no changes to the existing fence along the north side of the property; the fence at the rear of
the property will be removed and not replaced; and that the fence currently being installed along the south
property line will stop prior to the bridge. As long as the north fence is not modified, and the fence along
the rear of the property is removed, then I stated that I had no objections to the location of the fence
currently being installed along the southern property line adjacent to Sandy Lake Road.
I did express some concern that the fence currently being installed will be in conflict with the proposed
right-of--way necessary for the reconstruction of Sandy Lake Road. Our current schedule shows that
construction on the road will start sometime in late 2007. To stay on that schedule, right-of--way
acquisition will begin sometime in 2005 or 2006. You stated that the current fence is a temporary fence
and it will be removed and disposed of once the widening of the road has begun.
On a matter unrelated to the fence, I followed up with the water percolating up out of the ground near the
rear of your property, adjacent to Sandy Lake Road. The Utility Division of Public Works was aware of
the water at than location; however, to date we have been unsuccessfully in locating the actual leak. We
have tested the water and it does appear to be chlorinated water, so therefore, it more than likely is a leak
somewhere in the water line on the south side of the roadway. Our leak detection equipment, as of this
date, has not been successful in pinpointing the location of the leak. We are currently looking at other
options and hope to have this resolved in the near future.
If you should have any questions or need additional information about the fence or water leak at the rear
of your property please feel free to contact me at 972/304-3686.
Sincerely,
~~"'~
