As it now stands, the re- design of the bridge has delayed us 4 weeks so far and the re- design has not yet
been approved. If the re- design is rejected for some reason, we are looking at even more lost time. 'For
this reason we are requesting a 60 -day extension to our contract — to March 25, 2003.
While you letter of Sept. 24, 2002 clearly states the City's position with regard to the additional overhead
we ar, incurring as a result of the bridge order delays, we have received your verbal assurance that this
dt;lay 1 uuld not be a reason for the City to claim liquidated damages if and when the project is not
compicted by 1124/03. We are doing all that is in our power to provide the City with the Park as planned.
These uelays are causing us to incur additional overhead expenses for completing this contract. We
adV;se you a�Tain that the additional overhead expenses are real and that we expect the City of Coppell to
make an equitable adjustment to our contract to compensate us for our additional costs. We are good
contractors and know that the City of Coppell will be fair regarding this issue.
