City of Coppell, TX
Items to be Completed
January 27, 2003- (Revised 2- 12 -03) (Revised 3- 13 -03) (Revised 3- 24 -03)
All comments that have been stfieken are considered approved. Items that are not
stricken need additional work. When appropriate, additional comments have been added
to certain items.
3 -12 -03 — Not all items have been reviewed for this punch list. A final walk will be
necessary in order to determine the status of all remaining items.
General Comments
Oil 1. Ments.
2. All areas disturbed by machinery and construction activities must be sodded as
directed in the contract documents. All areas that have previously been sodded
within this contract and have been disturbed by must be repaired or resodded_
3 -12 -03 — Per directive by the Denton County Levee District, all areas that have
been disturbed by construction activities along Trail #3 and not sodded must be
hydroseeded with Common Bermudagrass. The specification for hydroseeding that
was used in other areas of the project can be used minus the application of Annual
Ryegrass. Silt protection will be needed in areas around the existing concrete
channels. Based on the grades constructed versus the grades shown on the plans,
the slope has been constructed in a way that presents a ledge within the existing
concrete channels located closest to the day care center. If grading a "U" shaped
swale at the upstream end of the channels will not solve the problem without
creating an un- maintainable slope, then a concrete retaining wall will be required
at no additional cost to the owner. A site visit may be required to adequately
illustrate the concerns of the Levee District. Coordinate with the Landscape
Architect and the Owner.
3 -24 -03 — Levee engineer is being consulted as to appropriate measures to solve
grade problems at concrete flumes.
3. All trails edges, either concrete or chat, must be graded flush to trail edge as per the
contract documents.
4. Concrete trails must be striped as directed in the contract documents.
4345 1
2 -12 -03 - Much of the striping is unacceptable. There are many areas where the
paint is already flaking and other areas where the striping is not c entered on the
trail. Please make necessary repairs to all striping.
3 -12 -03 -- Striping is still unacceptable in all areas that were inspected on 3- 12 -03.
Striping must be repaired.
3 -24 -03 — Striping is still unsatisfactory in many areas of the trail.)
6. Remove all soil and debris piles from the project that are results from construction
activities.
7. All marking paint used during construction must be removed from the concrete
trails.

3. There appears to be several locations where drainage will be poor near the
beginning of the chat trail on the East end of the trail. Contractor shall provide the
Landscape Architect and the City with a series of grades in this area in order to
determine the best -fit solution for this problem. Boring under the trails and
installing underground drains that will daylight into the creek are a viable option.
2 -12 -03 - Per direction of the City of Coppell, water is standing in several areas
along the chat trail. Additional work is needed to prevent standing water. Refer to
the attached photographs for direction to drainage problems. Drainage problems
are not limited to the locations depicted in these photographs.
3 -13 -03 — The drainage along the chat trail is still unacceptable. Where the drains
were installed, additional grading is necessary in order to have a smooth transition
along the drain. Many of the drains were not installed in the actual low spots. This
work is sub par.
3 -24 -03 — Grades around inlets are not acceptable. Small catch basins must be
graded so as to provide safe grade transitions. The location where the contractor
gained access to the site for construction is poorly graded and contains unwanted
rock and debris. This area needs additional sod and removal of all foreign objects.

5. All form boards on the chat trail must be reasonably straight, free of hazardous
splintering, placed at elevations that allow water to surface drain off the trail and
not serve as a trip hazard, and placed where the ends of each board meet flush
with the end of each subsequent board. Contractor shall repair all form boards
that do not meet these criteria.
2 -12 -03 - Many form boards are still very crooked. Contractor shall straighten all
crooked form boards.
3-12-03 — Damage to the chat trail from construction activities must be repaired,
1 3 — Remove all splinters deemed hazardous. •• ♦ •• is
needed in the location where the chat trail curves around the soccer field. This
area of chat trail is also in poor condition and needs additional wor '

21. 3 -24 -03 — Provide densities on chat trail to ensure specification and city code
compliance.

3. The drainage Swale between the trail and the fields must be restored and graded as
per the plans.
2 -12 -03 - This area did not drain sufficient water during the recent rain. It must
be regarded.
3 -24 -03 — The drainage swale located in the centerfield of the West field is not to
desired grade. Additional gradework is required.

2 -12 -03 - The area that must be addressed in this item is located at the curb on
Moore Road where trucks accessed the site. The area has been rutted and must be
topdressed with sandy loam and sodded.
3 -24 -03 — Sandy loam topdressing and hydroseeded Bermudagrass is an
acceptable solution in this area_

3 -24 -03 — This work still has not been done.
19. 3 -24 -03 — All concrete spoils must be removed from all areas of the trail.
20. 3 -24 -03 — The small sidewalk near the day care center that was connected to the
