Riverview Office-CS030623Y From: "Tim Porter" <tporter@daa-civil.com> To: "'Teresa Turner"' <tturner@ci.coppell.tx.us> Date: 6!23!03 11:28:28 AM Subject: RE: Riverview Office Development Hey Teresa, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was too short... as always. Anyway, I wanted to comment on some of the Riverview comments you emailed to me and also ask some questions: Point #1. I don't know what to do here. The drainage from A-5 will remain the same pre- and post-construction of Sandy Lake. When the plans for the road are produced, they should show the drainage going east to west under the entrance drive. They will have to place a new storm sewer line and headwalls, etc. since the flow will be reversed from the direction it shown in our plans. Also, the low spot east of the entrance drive will be filled in to accommodate this flow reversal per Sandy Lake plans. Point #2. Are you sure that you want the treatment on the west side? The flow in the pipes is from west to east. It seems that the rip-rap treatment would be best placed on the east side. Maybe I am confused. Just let me know. Point #3. The driveway approach limits have changed per my updates. Point #4. The drainage flowing to the 5' inlet is 2.64 cfs. I believe that the inlet is sized correctly as shown. Comment back if this is incorrect. Thanks for your open communication with me on this project. I am just as anxious to get this off of may desk as you and the owner. Thank You, Timothy J. It is unclear whether or not provisions have been made for Drainage Area A-5 to pick up the additional runoff when Sandy Lake is improved 2. Include a headwall or slope treatment on the west end of the CMP or SDR-35 pipe under the driveway onto Sandy Lake. 3. Show the proposed limits of the driveway approach that will be removed and replaced with Sandy Lake Road and include a construction joint. FYI -Ken is not in favor of removing and replacing the entire limits of the driveway back to the inlet for Line B. 4. Rather than constructing a temporary flume in the driveway approach as we had discussed, consider regrading the site to drain to the inlet for Line B. This will accomodate the increased runoff when Sandy Lake Road is improved. This may require a 10' inlet rather than the 5' inlet as shown. Please let me know if you have any questions.
