6/16 1. BJM received call from Mark Bice (Exel Foundation) and Mark explained that the bridge
could not be built using the joist hangers that is specified on the plans, and the City
Inspector would not allow him to omit the hangers without the Engineer's approval. BJM
explained that PK will review the sidewalk detail and call him back.
6/20 1. BJM and SAM called Mark Bice to review the sidewalk detail and it was concluded that
the joist hangers would not be necessary if he bolts the joists to the handrail posts. BJM
sent a letter to Mark Bice explaining that PK will allow bolting the joists to the handrail
posts in lieu of using joist hangers.
