RE: Parks of Coppell/Town Center Area Development Plans
Dear Jay:
P.O. Box 478
Coppell, Texas 75019
214-462-0022
The approved set of construction plans for Heartz Road provided for the storm
drainage to outfall into an existing drainage channel as per the attached excerpt
copy of those plans. That drainage channel flows due north from an area labeled
"proposed lake" then to the northeast somewhat concentric to Parkway Blvd., then
due east turning directly due north and crossing under Parkway Blvd. through
exist.ir.g 8' x 8' box culverts.
The1-e has been recent development activity in this immediate area that brings
up the issue as to what are the plans for that existing drainage channel and when
will those improvements referenced as a linear Iake system (conceptually approved
by the City) occur.
We understand that the Sand in and around this linear lake system is owned by
ABQ and Parks of CoppeiZ Joint Venture II or they have vested interest in those
tracts. Therefore, the City of Coppell would like to know the scheduling of the
development of that linear lake system, so as to be able to coordinate same with
other developments in this watershed, since the City approved its "concept"
through an agreement with the Parks Venture.
Please respond by February 2, 1990, so that the City's master and area wide
planning can continue to proceed. Thank you.
Sincerely:'
