RE: Meadow Creek Drainage DR 00 -02
Dear Mr. Witt
My firm is contracted with the City to construct the Meadow Creek Drainage Project
DR 00 -02). We completed the project and have done a final walkthrough with the
City's Inspector Mr. Garreth Cambell. On September 10, 2002 Mr. Cambeil mailed a
letter to us requesting some additional erosion items be addressed and refusing to pay
for the Type M manhole that has been constructed on the project.
R -Con has immediately corrected all the items the city has requested. Where areas of
heavy erosion have occurred we have sodded these areas instead of hydro mulching a
the plans called for. This work was done to try and achieve final acceptance.
We have left many messages with Mr. Campbell trying to bring this project to a close.
I have personally talked with Mr. Griffin in Public Works and have sent a written
request for a meeting. R -Con would like to close out this project and start our
maintenance period but we are not able to get the City to respond to any requests. Our
records indicate that the city has a past due balance of $13,910.00.
I have enclosed pictures of the project that show the grass as it was on October 25,
2002. We feel we have meet the specifications as set forth in the project manual and
request that you issue a letter of acceptance, Pay the past due balance, and start the
maintenance period on this project.
