RE: St. Joseph Village, Phase lA and Starleaf Drive
Dear Mr. Roberts:
The Ciry of Coppell has recently completed awalk-thru for the utility improvements in the
referenced project. Listed below are items that must be addressed prior to final acceptance.
1. Install valve-operating extensions on all operating nuts greater than four feet depth. The
installed extension shall bring the operating nut to within a maximum of three feet depth.
2. Place blue marker in pavement opposite all fire hydrants. Fire hydrants located on a corner
shall have two blue markers installed.
3. Install chimney seals in manholes at 1167 and 1163; Sta 0+00, Sta 3+00, Sta 5+61, Sta
7+ 10 and Sta 10+60 Line A; Sta 0+50 and 0+76 Line A-2; and Sta 2+53 Line A-1.
4. Paint "MH" on curb and paint manhole lid in red on all public manholes including existing
manhole on Starleaf Drive.
5. Raise manholes to grade at sta 5+61, sta 7+10, sta10+60 Line A, sta 0+76 Line A-2, and sta
2+53 Line A-1.
6. Regrout manhole at sta 0+-00 Line A.
7. Install chimney seal in manhole at sta 0+00 Line B in phase 1B.
8. Mark "IRR" on curb and paint meter box lids blue at irrigation meter locations.
9. Install 6" extension on fire hydrant at sta 4+50 on Starleaf.
10. Place concrete pad on box of existing valve on the west end of Starleaf.
11. A. Clean vaults at meter and DDC locations.
B. Insure that concrete blocking is provided under valves in vaults.
C. Provide positive drainage away from vault access lids.
D. Weld hasps to accommodate padlocks for each vault lid.
E. Provide certification papers for each DDC including irrigation.
12. Locate 12" valve to 8" vault at sta 15+50 at Starleaf.
13. Fire hydrant at 1167 is leaking.
14. Note the location on "as-bunts" of the 4" valve that serves cottages.
15. Provide "as-built" plans for review, maintenance bonds, erosion control bond, and submit final
pay request. As-built plans for record consist of blue tines, mylars and CD's in .dwg format.
