Please accept this letter as Food Lion's response to the Development Review
Committee's comments for the proposed development at the northwest corner of
Sandy Lake Road and Samuel Boulevard.
As per Staff's recommendation, the proposed site plan has been reviewed
relative to the site visibility of the open space /truck dock area. Based on
the adjacency to the existing school and conversations with Mr. Greg Jones, it
has been decided to construct a 6' high fence along the rear property line at
the time of development. This fence would consist of brick columns with wood
inserts and would screen the proposed open space /truck dock area. The brick
for the columns will match the fence to be constructed along the west property
line.
This screening along the rear property line is not required by ordinance,
however, it is Food Lion's intent to be sensitive to the City of Coppell's
concerns.
