Dear Mr. Keep:
Barton- Aschman Associates, Inc. is pleased to respond to the request by
Mr. Tom Rutledge of Teague, Nall and Perkins to provide this proposal for
professional transportation engineering services in connection with the
proposed high school in Coppell, Texas. In order that we address the
concerns of the City of Coppell, we have prepared a Scope of Services for
this project.
If accepted, this letter will become an agreement between the Coppell
Independent School District and Barton- Aschman Associates, Inc. to provide
services outlined in the Scope of Services below.
Our proposed Scope of Services will include the following work tasks.
1. Site Traffic Characteristics - Based upon the projected enrollment
of the high school, the existing area demographics, and the area
roadway system, we will accomplish the following:
Site Traffic Generation - Estimates of the traffic generated
by the site will be prepared for the morning and afternoon
peak hours of school traffic.
2. Site Access - We will evaluate access to the school from Parkway
Boulevard to determine the size (number of lanes) that will be
required to accommodate the expected traffic generated by the
school.
3. Documentation - We will provide a memorandum report that documents
the study procedures and findings /conclusions of the study. Ten
(10) copies of the report will be furnished to you.

Our fee for completing the Scope of Services outlined above will be
based on our hourly rates, current at the time of performance, for staff
services rendered. Based on our experience in studies of this type, we
estimate that the fee for completion of Tasks 1 through 3 will be $1,500.
We will not exceed this fee without receiving your prior authorization. If
the need for extra services should arise, we will seek your authorization
and, before proceeding and if requested, we will supply you with our best
estimate of the fee to be incurred.
Direct reimbursement for out -of- pocket expenses such as travel,
reproduction, etc., will be billed at 110 percent (110 %) of cost and will be
added to staff time costs incurred on the project.
Invoices will be submitted to you monthly and become due within thirty
(30) days of the date of invoice.

We are prepared to commence work on this project immediately following
receipt of a signed copy of this Letter of Agreement.
