RE: Assured Addition, Lot 1, Block 1
Fire Lane
Dear Mr. Nelson:
The City of Coppel] has received your comments and recommendations regarding the fire lane at
this development.
Although the owner/builder has consistently violated the terms of the City of CoppelPs
Construction Specifications and Subdivision Ordinance throughout this entire project, your
recommendation to allow the fire lane to remain in place will be upheld. In addition, the
suggested $2,500 repair guarantee will not be required.
A flex base material may hate been ordered for the fire lane, but the owner/builder was alerted
by city staff that the material did not appear to meet NCTCOG specifications prior to the pouring
of concrete. He then failed to conduct the proper testing procedures on the subgrade and the
concrete. Staff has requested copies of the delivery tickets of the `flex base' material for future
reference and the owner/builder has indicated that those will be provided in a timely manner.
All improvements within the public rights-of--way must comply with the city's requirements.
This includes conducting the proper testing procedures, which does not allow for client provided
concrete test cylinders.
Thank you for your response and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
~.~.~:ea.a ~
