Beltline 08/27/03 03:47 PM Ron, I apologize for it taking so long to get back with you on this permit. I had some legal concerns that I wanted to discuss with Ken Griffin and he has been out of the office until today. Unfortunately we cannot accept the plans as submitted. Because the plans are from signed engineering record drawings, the title block must retain the orginal design engineers information. We don't have a problem with the proposed cable information being drawn on the plans, however as submitted, these plans appear to be'altered'. We also prefer that all sheets be drawn to the same scale for consistency. -- - - -i ~C , ~~/'~,p~ Cn~ Page 1 You can pick the drawings up in our office at your convenience. If you I Teresa Turner - Re. 1751 E. Beltline have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Teresa Turner Ron, -- _ __ _ Page 2 I completely understand. I am also familiar with this development on Beltline and figure the owner is being very persistent with you. Let me assure you that they have many outstanding issues which will likely result in a delay of them getting a certificate of occupancy. I will contact you in the morning. Thanks. Teresa »> <ron.hiltonta7verizon.com> 8/19/03 4:10:30 PM »> Teresa, I didn't realize the permit we submitted was as inadequate as it was. My people are very aware of what is needed for the approval process. However, I am having to use contractors to meet the demands of the customer. Be assured I will cover the criteria needed for each permit with them so this can be corrected. Please be patient because this will be a learning process. Again we hope to do better in the future. Ron: _- - Fag I realize that your people did not prepare the actual drawings but, it would save some time in the future if who does the submittal would follow the criteria in our Right-Of-Way-Use Ordinance. Keith from Teksystems did get the submittal down to 15 pages from the original 40+ pages (on 24" x 36" paper). This seems to me to be an excessive amount of paperwork for a proposed job of approximately 3000 feet of cable, some of which will be pulled into existing conduit. I also ordinarily do not accept plans that have been scanned in and altered. The 15 pages came from numerous different sets of plans at varying scales. The pages were scanned in and the title block changed to reflect that Verizon prepared the drawings. Give me to at least tomorrow morning to finish reviewing the permit. Thanks. Teresa
