Left Turn Lane
Dear Mr. Valk:
This letter is written to request the status of the removal and replacement of the left turn lane at the
referenced site. As stated in my August 27, 2003 letter, the subgrade supporting the ]eft turn lane does
not meet City specifications. Therefore, it should be removed, the subgrade should be reworked and
re-compacted to the appropriate density and moisture content; and then a new left turn lane should be
poured meeting all strength requirements.
Please provide a timetable of when we can expect this work to be performed. Also, please be advised
that no final inspection or acceptance of this project will be provided until such time as the left turn lane
has been constructed in such a way that it meets the minimum Ciry requirements.
