Northlake Wood-CS030603 From: To: Date: Subject: Teresa Turner Greg Jones 6/3/033:21 :11 PM Fence Permit flte-- ~~S D~ ~ct.- Greg. I was looking a little closer at this Issue on GIS and it also appears that several structures are located within the easement. This may be contributing to the drainage problem, Are outbuilding permitted by your department? If so, would these be considered as grandfathered? Greg. A fence on a retaining wall were built in the back yard of 537 Leavalley Ln, about a year ago, The neighbor behind at 524 Arborbrook Ln. brought this to my attention when he came in Friday to find out what his options were to solve a drainage issue in his yard, which he feels is partially due to the wall/fence. In looking at the plat we learned that the wall and fence are located within a 10' utility easement. Can you find out if this fence was permitted? Let me know if you need any other information, Thanks, Teresa Tuesday, June 03, 2003 Teresa Turner City of Coppell Engineering Department Coppell, TX 75019 Dear Ms. Turner: Thank you for meeting with me the other day to discuss my drainage issues on my property, My property is suffering degradation and erosion due to massive amounts of water being directed on my property from a four foot pipe on the north side. The drainage area requires over 1/3 of my property making a significant portion of the property unusable, The foundation of my home is slowly shifting toward the drainage area, In an effort to protect and better use my property, I am hiring a drainage engineer to develop a plan to protect my property, Preliminary recommendations by drainage companies are to connect the four foot drainage pipes on the north and south sides of my property and fill, However, I want to work with your department to meet all codes regarding this project. Please review the attached pictures and feel free to make any recommendations for this project, Attached are pictures of the project area.
