Dear Mr. Witt:
I believe we have a good solution to our problem. There is a product called
PolyCon which is primarily concrete which we can overlay asphalt. In our case, we
would have approximately five inches of concrete covered by asphalt and then
approximately %, to %: inch of PolyCon. PolyCon per its literature is a polymer modified
cement product.
Qn Saturday, Sam Garrett, President of Advanced Paving Co., visited the Grayson
County airport, which was recently resurfaced (over asphalt and some concrete) with
PolyCon. He says it not only looks like concrete, the product seems remarkably tough
and durable. PolyCon's website is www.polvcor.com. PolyCon's representative can Ily
in Thursday and give a demonstration of the product.
