On behalf of the City of Coppell, we would like to invite you to attend an information and
discussion session on the Sandy Lake improvement project to be held on March 20th at 7:00
p.m. in the first floor conference room at Town Center. The purpose of this meeting will be
to provide you with as much up-to-date information as possible regarding the City' s negotiations
with both the PUC and TU regarding their proposed upgrade to 138 kv along Sandy Lake Road.
I anticipate that City Staff and the City' s legal counsel will be in attendance at this meeting.
We appreciate your patience regarding the deliberations on this project. Some of you have
expressed frustration with the appearance of Mr. Townsend at the February 281h City Council
meeting during which he made a very short presentation and answered two questions from the
floor. Mr. Townsend's travel back to Austin was necessary because of previous business
commitments the next morning. I assure you that we do not intend to let this project drag on
and hope to bring it to a successful resolution in as quick a time frame as possible. We believe
that by the March 20th meeting, we will have a clearer picture of the situation as it exists and
what viable options the City has regarding the construction of the 138 kv.
