I'm told that with direct load boxes you can place the pavement right on top of the box culvert. I believe we are planning on 8" thick pavement (geotech report to confirm this), so as long as we have a foot of cover we should be fine. I'm in our Fort Worth office for a few days. I'll be back in Dallas Thursday afternoon, and will look at the plans again and give you a call. We talked about this on the phone but I have a few more questions. There is approximately one to two feet of cover over the boxes. How much clearance is needed over the boxes in order to construct a drive. How would a drive be constructed over the boxes. I am also assuming that the existing box is TxDot direct load rated. Thanks
