Suzan,
I'm pretty sure the existing box is a TXDOT direct load box, and we will
use TXDOT direct load boxes for the added boxes. I'm told that with
direct load boxes you can place the pavement right on top of the box
culvert. I believe we are planning on 8" thick pavement (geotech report
to confirm this), so as long as we have a foot of cover we should be
fine. I'm in our Fort Worth office for a few days. I'll be back in
Dallas Thursday afternoon, and will look at the plans again and give you
a call.

Craig:
1 am responding to Minyards concern about the proposed box culverts
impact on the extension of a future drive. We talked about this on the
phone but I have a few more questions. There is approximately one to
two feet of cover over the boxes. How much clearance is needed over the
boxes in order to construct a drive. How would a drive be constructed
over the boxes. I am also assuming that the existing box is TxDot
direct load rated.
Thanks
