Although it has not been publicized, the follow-up meeting to the
October, 1994 Utility ~ele Meeting slated for the Sandy Lake Road
Project will take place a~nuary 10, 1995 in Council Chambers.
I personally ~m very envy that it appears City Council and the
Mayor have not insured that an announcecent be placed in our local
newspapers. I fear that this project could be voted on prior to
~e citizenry receivine t~e follow up'report from TU Electric and
City Council-THEY PROMI88~I I was told 3 weeks ago this would take
place end it would be ~s~aqily advertised. I don't ~now what fell
throu~ the cracks, but we need to attend this meeting. Needless
to say I will be at the .meeting.
There appears to be four alternatives to be s~baitted on Tuesday,
January
} BUry the cables at a coat of $15 Million
~ Place the poles in the median with the existing traffic plan
> To provide only 4 traffic lanes for Sandy Lake Road and move the'
poles to the South Si~. of Sandy Lake Road.
> Have the poles routed ~rom the Northlake Power Station (Beltline
Rd.) to proceed South on Beltline Road near the West Middle
School and/or the B __|_wll fields to the sub-station on Coppall
Road and Thweatt Roe4. Cost $7-8 Million
In sedition, I will be centacting the Chaucer Berates and Pecan
Ri~e Estates Homeowners Associations. If you kne~ of any other
groups we can count on
will provide the documentation endbackground for those interested.
If you have any other questions, please cell me (471-3631) or any
City Councilman. If TO~4~n't speak up, don't expect your neighbor
to.
ThanKS for taking the time that WILL impact the quality of life in
Coppall and our neighborhoods.
