Re: Bethel School Road ST 02-02 (Driveway Modifications)
Dear Mr. Avidano:
This letter is written to inquire of the status of the interlocal agreement between the USPS and
the City of Coppell which will allow us to modify the ingress/egress at the postal facility at 450
S. Denton Tap Road.
August 13, 2003, Robert E. Hager, City Attorney received a letter from Mark Dennett, Attorney
requesting changes to the interlocal agreement. On August 26, 2003 a fax was sent to Mr.
Dennett with Page 2 Revised of the interlocal agreement, showing the requested changes (see
attached fax).
The bids for construction were received on July 8, 2003 (my previous letter stating May 13,
2003 was incorrect) are only valid until October 8, 2003. At that time all bids become invalid
and the project will need to be rebid. To award the project, we need to take to City Council on
September 23, 2003. This is the last council meeting before the expiration of the bids on October
8, 2003.
Any help in expediting the signing of the revised interlocal agreement would be appreciated.
