Asst City Manager/City Engineer
City of Coppell
P.O. Box 478
Coppell, TX 75019
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Thank you for your inquiry concerning concealing electric
transmission lines. Details on collected information
follows:
,Plano, Texas: Development Services, 214/578-7152. The City
of Plano is required to bury all power lines in residential
areas. I was informed that, in some "mountain" states, the
poles are designed to look like trees and the lines are
painted to blend in with the surroundings.
* Edmond, Oklahoma: Steve Parduhn, Pelco Products, 405/340-
3434. Mr. Parduhn said that their company could provide
materials that make poles more appealing, depending on the
diameter of the pole. They usually concentrate on street
lights, but could adapt to power poles. Please contact Mr.
Parduhn for more information.
Please note that I am continuing to search for more
information and will forward any and all pertinent
information as soon as possible.
Hopefully the aforementioned information proves useful.
Should further assistance or additional information be
required, please feel free to contact the TIG office anytime.
Again, thank you for the inquiry and the support.
Sincerely,
James M. Breeding
