RE: West Sandy lake Road
Dear Ken:
As currently proposed. approximately 350 linear feet of Coppell Road North will be
reconstructed with the above referenced project. Because the proposed roadway will
be reconstructed in roughly the same location as the existing pavement surface, it will
be difficult and more costly for the contractor to maintain access to the roadway while
construction of this segment occurs. For this reason, it is worth considering
completely closing the roadway during construction.
We estimate that the time the roadway will be closed would be between 25 and 30
days. including seven days for curing, assuming we use high early strength concrete.
This tirne does not include delays due to inclement weather. We may want to set a
maximum allowable time for this segment and impose liquidated damages if the
contractor fails to re-open the roadway within the allotted time.
Please advise us how you wish to proceed and we will prepare the plans and
contracts accordingly.
Sincerely.
